Humana Milchunion

Milchunion is a subsidiary of Humana's corporate group in Everswinkel, known for dairy products and baby food. In the work Altentreptow raw milk and various cheeses are produced. In 2006 NuReSys built the “phosphate-recovery-system” as a sub-subcontractor for Biotim nv (now Waterleau Group).

Agristo

At Agristo, the effluent from the production of French Fries is first treated in an UASB reactor. The effluent is further treated in an aerobic biological treatment stage for further P and N reduction. The phosphate was formerly reduced by addition of FeCl3. Since 2006 the total volume is bypassed though the NuReSys-P plant where the PO4-P concentration is reduced from 120 ppm to average 20 ppm. The installation was retrofitted to an existing UASB reactor.

Clarebout Potatoes 1

After having experienced for 20 months a NuReSys test facility, in 2011 Clarebout decided to bypass the full effluent stream through a new NuReSys-P plant where the PO4-P concentration is reduced from 120 ppm to average 20 ppm. The installation was retrofitted to an existing plant. Big plants with an interesting PO4-P concentration show a very nice ROI.

Clarebout Potatoes 2

After having experienced excellent results with the NuReSys-P technology at their site in Nieuwkerke, in 2012 Clarebout Potatoes has decided to equip also the Warneton plant with the phosphate recovery technology of NuReSys.

Aquafin

In 2013 The R&D department of Aquafin has decided to install a NuReSys-P pilot plant in the facility of Leuven. The scope was to investigate the technical implementation and impact in the pre- and post processing of the digested sludge. The process parameters were closely monitored and the ROI is a major issue. Aquafin wants to experience the effect of the PO4-P removal on the digestate on the DM content after dewatering and on the PE consumption. The challenge was to separate the struvite from the sludge in a smart way.

Land Van Cuijck

Logisticon won the tender at Land van Cuijck to supply and P recovery technology and a Demon installation. For the P recovery they contracted NuReSys as a sub supplier. The installation was commissioned early 2015.

Apeldoorn

GMB/Imtech won the tender at WWTP Apeldoorn to supply TPH and P recovery technology and totally revamping the sludge line. For the P recovery they contracted NuReSys as a sub supplier. The installation was commissioned early 2016.

This installation is called HYBRID because the Stripper is placed at the outlet of the digester where the Mg is exhausted and thus wild struvite formation in the pumps, lines and hydro-extractors is highly reduced. The Struvite Crystaliser is installed after the hydro-extraction.
